I have recently bought a 2011 Lunar Clubman SB which has a sliding bathroom door. There is a bolt which fits into a block on the ceiling to hold the door open when travelling. Mine releases very easily, allowwing the door to slide. After meeting someone with a 2012 model, I was told this was a known problem, and that Lunar had changed to a conventional door for 2012. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.Paul

Virtually impossible for this to happen if you slide the bolt into place and turn it so that it doesn't come down again. We have the same door with no issues.
The person with the 2012 model is talking nonsense and is probably refering to the shower door which in the 2012 is a one piece door instead of a folding door. We prefer the folding shower door as opposed to the one piece door.

My 2013 Lunar Clubman ES has a sliding washroom door with a "gate bolt" of the type you describe - it's sprung-loaded to the lock position and can then be turned to stop the bolt moving, as Surfer describes and I've every confidence it won't dislodge during transit.

I have just been into the caravan to double check. Yes, there is a spring loaded bolt which locks in the up position. The problem is that the slightest pull on the door, and the bolt jumps out of the retainer block, allowing the door to slide closed. The bolt remains in the up, locked position, and contacts the block, not allowing the door to fully open. Seems like there is insufficient location into the block. Wonder if it has been incorrectly fitted when new.

I think someone is getting confused here as the SB has single beds and they are fixed to the bathroom wall therefore cannot have a sliding door. My Lunar Clubman SB has got a conventional door into the Bathroom and a one piece door on the shower. The 2010 Lunar Clubman ES has got the sliding door to the bathroom.
I know I am not talking nonsense.

Yes, the SB model has twin single beds, but also a sliding bathroom door (slides alongside the toilet in the bathroom). Nothing to do with the shower door, which hinges in the centre, and has to be closed when travelling.

The 2011 may have had a sliding door. The OP said he was talking to someone who had a 2012 model and was told it had a conventional door. Surfer said that the person with the 2012 was talking nonsense. I also have a 2012 model and was saying that it does have a conventional door and know that the other owner wasn't talking nonsense.

We have a 2013 2 berth Lunar with sliding door, with the same bolt design, but we haven't had any trouble with it. Would it be possible for you to either reposition the bolt higher on the door, or pack the receiving block a bit to ensure the bolt engages more fully into the block?

I was referring to the 2011 model therefore the owner of the 2012 was talking nonsense when referring to the 2011 model.
