For a single-axle six-berth that costs less than £18,500, how about the Compass Casita 586? Please click here to read our review and see what you think.
We were impressed by the whole range when we saw them at a show. The companies showing in the magazines customer survey does put me off but if it improves under the new owners then we might have another look.
tThe problem with a review of a new caravan is that any faults in construction are unlikely to show up at that point and they are probably prepared just for the test. The problems with things like damp and cracked front and rear panels will not show up for a long time. Many of these are just reviews carried out without even towing the thing which is part of the problem.
The criticism therefore will usually be confined to design but trying to be fair to the testers what more can they do although possibly rose tinted glasses do sometimes get in the way. Not sure if the point some people make about not getting them to test if they are too critical mis valid though.
