A Problem with Wind

Hi All
Does anyone else have a problem with wind ? Wind, that is, that's setting off my Fire Angel smoke alarm. It's mounted by the door and every time it's windy it goes off whenever I open the door if it is blowing onto that side of the van. When the door is closed or we have the awning up there is no problem, it operates perfectly correctly - letting me know when my toast is done !
Just to be sure, I've changed the battery but this makes no difference. I've also emailed Fire Angel for their advice but heard nothing from them.

I would be tempted to buy a new one..........
I recently replaced the ones in the house due to them coming to four years old,
We replaced them with two of these & they tell me when the bacon is done

To the best of my knowledge, a smoke alarm is activated when smoke enters a sensing chamber & breaking a beam setting off the alarm.
That will explain why steam & dust particles will have the same effect on the alarm
When we fit the alarms we recommend that people vacuum the vents at least once a month to stop the build up of dust etc blowing into the alarm. This may be your problem when its windy
