Found this in the bottom of our dish washer. Definitely nothing to do with the dishwasher.
Anyone any ideas where this came from or what it is?C3383278-7CA0-4D27-9ED1-6853C426339E.jpeg7C2EF8EEA-432F-4D49-BF2A-187F701504E4.jpeg

A good guess Hutch but alas no. I’ve checked the spares list for Miele and my mate is a retired washing machine engineer. He‘s just checked the washer and can’t find anything missing. We are now wondering if we added something from the caravan last week but for t( life of me I haven’t a clue. It’s like a big oil seal. Must be something important 🤪🤪🤪

DD, can you photo them with something to give them scale, the opposite side of the first pic and an end-on view of the second pic would also help.

My first thought was that the parts related to the salt receptacle\dispenser in a dishwasher.

Will do this tomorrow. We are fairly certain it hasn’t fallen off the dishwasher. Close examination of all the surfaces shows nothing missing. Looking at the Miele spares list there is nothing like this thing.
My worry is it looks an important part!!

Have you tried using Google Lens to see if it can make a suggestion. If you arent familiar with it, it allows you to photograph an object then searches for matches, works quite well.

It doesnt look water stained so I guess you are right in thinking its not from the washing machine.

We also have the Miele dishwasher and will ask OH to have a look as I cannot get down on my hand and knees to check.

Ok Chaps, Sir Haggis, here’s some more pics. My friend , an appliance engineer , has checked the Miele. All intact. I suspect it is something to do with Lady Villa. She washed loads of things from the caravan when we returned last week. If it’s off the caravan then I am a worried dog😥😥1CA35D3F-E91E-4D05-9C93-EBC91CD5FCD6.jpeg86DDDE6C-E40D-420C-BF19-904D8F2E3632.jpegFCEDEDC8-0E09-448D-8183-42B4458C953D.jpeg

What I cannot understand is that it looks like two different parts. One looks prefectly circular and smooth and the other shows protrusions with holes.

DD,

A couple of thoughts.

1. Is it perhaps from the car as opposed to the caravan? e.g. car door speaker cover.
2. Hot air duct (if your Senator has hot air ducts).

I don't have a clue what it is but looking at the last picture,it seems to have a bit of a lip at the top(closest to the camera).
Just wondering if its rubber, this side needs to slip over something and connect to a protruding lip to hold it in place?
If it was in the dishwasher,I don't suppose you've washed some sort of fryer, cooking utensil and this part has fallen off?
Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but just a thought.

Eureka! 17 months on the mystery is solved.
Our faithful Tefal Actifry, air fryer, of 11 years finally blew up. It has been so good we bought a new one. We salvaged the consumable parts from the original. Here’s a photo of the two paddles. Note where the polypropylene ring fits👍👍👏👏👏

That’s given very good service. I didn’t even realise that they had been out that long. But that’s from someone who thinks a saucepan with a vented glass lid is revolutionary 😂
