ADAPTING AWNING

We have purchased a new caravan which is longer than our existing one. The Isabella awning we have at present is adequate in size for our needs. We have read in the Isabella brochure that by buying a kit we can adapt this and use the existing awning on the new caravan as a large porch awning. Do you know if this is a successful process? We have not seen any awnings used this way.

Hi if you cut carefully through the piping that goes through the awning rail but only through the pipe and not the stitching you can have one side in the awning rail and the other side like a porch awning. just measure the distance from the ground to awning rail and add a couple of inches and then mark this on the piping and cut. Then to make a proper job you can purchace a pad and plastic section to go down the piping and put an extra down pole in this corner. I hope this helps.

Frank as simon says make sure you do NOT cut the tape just the piping that fits into awning rail you can buy the kit for the porch end from awning world it is a pad 2 plastic strips plus a pole with an angled top to keep it close to van it costs about
