After you have disconnected the caravan from the 220v, does the clock on the A LDE control board retain its time until next time you go out?

I think that you will find that the 240V is used for the heating element only.
You can use the Alde system without 240V but with gas supply only
The clock operates from the 12v supply and will continue to operate until the 12v supply is turned off.

When you hitch up and tow, the 12v in the van is isolated. We found that the clock lost its time setting every time, but retained the programming.

To get round this you need to connect a battery back-up, parts available from Alde. There are 2 options, either connect to its own battery, or connect directly to the van battery. The special connector plugs into the programmer.

Thanks probably get it connected into the caravan's battery as consumption should be negligble.
