Alde heating vs new Whale blown air

Hi all, we are looking at swapping our current van which has the conventional truma blown air heating system.
We wanted our new van with the Alde wet system, which we have had on a previous van and really liked.
We have looked at a van with the Whale blown air system which we are not familiar with.....anyone any experience of the whale system?
We find the Truma blown air is really inconsistent with 'cold spots' around the van, i know the Alde wet system takes a while to warm up, but its far more 'even' heat around the van.
Any feedback on the Whale system would be much appreciated.

Thank you Andrew.

hi
not experieced the Whale system, but cannot imagine it is much different from other blown air systems. the feedback i get from people, and also my own opinion is once you have had Alde heating you never want to go back

Whilst I haven't experienced the Whale system, I understand from someone who has that it can be quite noisy (again, not my personal experience!). However, our current caravan (Lunar Clubman SE) has the Alde system, and as the above post suggests, I would not go back to the blown air system. If I'm honest, I haven't noticed a difference in warm up times as some suggest, but haven't sat watching the clock to check. It is a brilliant system, and worked really well when we were away in the very cold last December. The beauty is that you can have a day and a night temperature setting which is really useful, and saves having to get out of bed to turn the heater on.

Isn't that the system on the orion?
I would have thought if it was an improvement over ALDE, then that would be on the Unicorn.

I'm not sure but it looks like the Propex system that has been about for years. Having had full blown air systems in the past and now having an Alde on my Delta there is now way that I would want to go back to any form of blown air system. I am actually quite surprised that Whale did not bring out something to compete with the Alde system unless it was pressure from the manufacturers to have something to compete with the Truma blown air systems as Truma do rather have a monopoly in the supply owning Alde as they do.

I'm not sure it's a fair comparison to compare wet with blown air heating, each are good and equally both have their specific drawbacks, In reality and in the UK , I'm not at all sure there’s that much difference in their overall performance.
Where I may well agree is poor installation of blown air is it's main drawback while wet and by design 'has' to be installed one way, it's this then that shows up as wet being better.
As far as the alleged noise is concerned, Whale went to great lengths to source a quiet running fan motor then mounted it such to avoid vibration, and then used a dynamically balanced barrel fan to further reduce noise. Beyond that the whole lot is then underslung just forward of the axle outside!, It must then be the quietest blown air system on the market today
