Another battery question

Hi, we recently had a motor mover fitted - but I know I will need to take better care of my battery. I have the van at the side of the house and can plug in easily...
so, if i connect to the house electric - switch my 'charger' button to 'on' and swithch the car/neutral/van switch to 'van' will this recharge my battery nicely, and will it take a day or so or do it quickly?
I also have a halfords battery charger which has quite a few settings, which are correct for trickle charging if the plug in isn't the best option.
Once again, thanks in advance.

I have one of those & they work very well, that is the type that i have used on my old gel battery over the last four years & as you might have read on another thread that i have just put it back into use

I would use this automatic one rather than the van charger if it is for long periods of time, the next thing is what type of battery have you got fitted ?
Is it one with removable caps so that you can top the battery cells up ?
Or is it a sealed for life one with the magic eye fitted ?
or a gel type one that is fitted ?
The switching is self explanatory

one req's switching to other as you are charging your caravan battery & not a bike one & the other one to the type of battery that you have fitted...sealed or standard.....
