Hi everyone,

Having spent the last 7 years boating after many previous years of caravanning (don't ever think CARAVANNING is expensive!!), the boat is on the market and we have just ordered a Swift Conqueror 645 at the NEC Show. We have gained considerable caravanning experience over the years, visiting France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Luxembourg as well as many sites in the UK, and are really looking forward to returning in 2011. The 'van arrives next April, and we have already booked the ferry for a three week holiday in Britanny. Can't wait! Now, does anyone want to buy a 48' motor cruiser?

Cheers all

Hi Nicho, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum and congratulations on ordering the new Swift.
The forum has a good section of members who tour the continent and I'm sure that you'll enjoy swapping tips with new forum friends.

Only on a programme hosted by Shaw Taylor (Google it

) but I don't like to talk about that.
Of course my better looking and much cleverer younger brother regularly appears in a religious affairs programme from Craggy Island, I've never watched it myself but I'm told that three highly intelligent priests debate the perils of sex and alcohol abuse so it's all a bit too highbrow for my tastes.

Hi, and welcome back to caravanning. Hopefully it is drier than motorboating, but judging by the last few Summers I wouldn't like to promise.

From the boating perspective, we've had a great Summer, spending at least 60% of our time living aboard. We have travelled from our Solent base as far as Brighton to the East, and Dartmouth to the West, and have enjoyed pretty good weather up until September.

However, we seem to have lost our boating "mojo", and as the cost is horrendous, and eating far too much into out pensions, its back to caravanning for us, and we are REALLY looking forward to it! Mind, we may have both this year, the used boat market is not spectacular at the moment!!
