Just to say hello ! Used to caravan many moons ago with an old Musketeer and a 1600 Cortina. went from there to camping and a couple of years ago invested the children's inheritance on a Toyota campervan which we thoroughly enjoyed. Late last year having acquired a dodgy back we traded it in for a Renault Grand Scenic and a lovely little Abbey Iona 2000. Had a couple of outings which were really great, towed like a dream, wish we had done this before ! (Back's sorted itself out as well )
We are now wresting with the possibility of sticking a bike rack on the rear. Since I can already hear the gasps I am drafting up a post with all the relevant numbers inviting peoples comments. Another strange phenomena ... I have suddenly become very patient when I find myself behind a caravan on the road ... I wonder why that could be !

Hello David and welcome to the forum, I hope you make use of it to share your experiences and glean any answers to questions you may have.

Before lots of posts regarding the bike rack, just be aware, as I am sure you are, that Renault, out of all the makers, use a very different calculation for kerbweight.
Othr than that, if it will fit and not compromise your combination, good luck
