Anyone booked for next year yet?

Booked what? The ferry or the campsite?
Personally, I can't book that far in advance. I'm lucky if I have more than 4 weeks' notice, but then I'm not usually looking at peak periods anyway.

We have booked the campsite in France, and I have pre-booked the ferry which will save us 15% on pre-booking.
The campsite was cheaper for next years holidays and we are staying an extra 3 nights!

By shopping around, I've found bigger discounts than the 15% savings that you're getting for an early booking, so I'm wondering whether such an early booking is worth it.

I used to work in the travel industustry and the savings you usually get nearer the time of your holiday nearly always worked out more than if you booked your holiday when the prices 1st came out.
I have proven this on my holdiay for 2009, I am travelling at the same time as I did this year, but I have recieved an extra 3 nights and it's costing me less than I paid this year.

Booked is when you usually get a reference number, pre-booked is not confirmed because it is still an enquire, when it becomes available I confirm that I am happy with the times etc.
they will give me a booking number. (In most cases with an enquiry you do not put a deposit down)

We did that's why we decided to go back there in 2009.

If you worked in the travel industry you've had your own experience, but I've just booked a return crossing at the beginning of September (for the car but without the caravan this time). The price according to the SeaFrance website is
