To you do it all people...LPG is an inflamable liquid,Do not attempt to re-connect an appliance that you have diy your self...It must be checked by an ACOp person...CORGI means nothing if he hasnt trained to do LPG............Its a bad myth that you have to be corgi reg......Basic is ACOP.s LPG.......Most corgi people are not LPG competent

there is no such thing as corgi anymore !, the corgi register was replaced by "the gas safe register" quite a while back.

cant see where you get the information that a registered gas safe fitter or previous corgi fitter can not do Lpg though since the standard course required for registration covers Lpg. even i was able to conect gas appliances when i was in the refrigeration trade as i was qualified to safely handle and use gases for refrigeration one of which is Lpg.

of course your basic advice is correct in that nobody should risk conecting a gas appliance unless qualified to do so.

Sadly things have changed icemaker, once you have completed the basic ACOPS and whatever appliances you then have to complete an LPG changeover course, then all appliances you are qualified for are covered.Residential homes are a separate qualification also caravans and leisure vehicles an even different course. At one time gas tumble dryers were covered with cookers, now they are a seperate category, but hardly anyone does the course as gas domestic dryers are uncommon. To the best of my knowledge anyone 'competent' can do touring caravans if they are not for hire.I am passed for LPG and residential caravans and Gassafe registered.

To correct a technical point in Simon's posting.

LPG in its liquid form is not flammable. It has to vaporise first and mix with sufficient air or another source of oxygen before it will burn.
