Hello there!
We took advantage of The Sun's offer of caravanning for £1 a night and have booked into Thorney Lakes near Langport in Somerset for a few nights in October half term.
We have got a fairly old van so no heating- only a halogen fire! mind you saying that we only have to boil the kettle on the gas hob and the van is lovely and warm! We shall be packing plenty of woolies and the thermals but was wondering if anyone else is heading off for half term?
We have never stayed on this site before so shall report back. Reviews i have read highly recomend it and it is also close to my parents so we will be seeing them.

why do you think your mad we all have to start somewhere, so you have an old caravan solong as it serves its purpose who cares, Can i suggest you purchase a small electric fan heater with a thermostat when you get the caravan to the temperature your happy with set it to turn on and off with the thermostat. we used to keep ours on through the night set on low, Have a good holiday you'll be going over christmas and new year next.

Ps if you have any kind of awning either full or just porch put it up you'll be surprised the draughts they keep out.

We are out at the moment but when we get home on the 24th that will do it for us this year. We will have been out for 6 weeks out of the last eight so it will be nice to settle down for a couple of months. It's getting that I need a satnav to find home
