I have never actually used a caravan with it, but several respected contributors have, and they sing its praises.

. You should not use it to make a poorly loaded caravan drivable. You should consider it to be like a seat belt. it's there in case something goes awry.

Very sound advice from the prof. There is no substitute for a properly loaded van. We've had ATC on the last two or three vans and I can't say it has made the slightest difference to the towing experience but it's there in the background as a reassurance.

I have ATC on my Coachman 560, and Stupidly, decided to go that little bit extra," 65, its been ok before, "passed an Artic uphill, just passing it , suddenly the van went into a wild swaying, the silence in the car, was only overcome by the smell. Three maybe 4 occilations, very big ones and suddenly the vans brakes came on slowed us , within seconds, and straightened us to about 50 mph. Yet again silence for the next 2 miles. IT is agreat system, reminded me , again take time, you only gain minutes. I hope I will never feel it again.

I have ATC on my van and when I collected it new from the dealer last June it was very windy and of course the van was empty so not at its most stable, a couple of times strong gusts hit it and you could feel the ATC kick in so for me its good to have
