Hi. I have a Pageant Series 5 vendee and I think that the bulb has blown in the awning light. The light is fitted with a PIR so it comes on automatically when you approach the van. The PIR flashes when you move around the door so I assume that it is not a power supply issue. Could anyone tell me how to remove the cover/lens as I have tried squeezing it to no avail. There are no screws on the inside of the van and none around the lens.

Thanks.

P.S.To all those with motor movers. Dont lose your remote. I left mine on the A frame when we set off this weekend (dumb I know)They are really expensive to replace ) Was quoted £60 for replacement.

Silly question, but do Bailey not provide a manual explaining this? If not, possibly a call to their technical department could give a quick, and accurate answer. Usually covers are plastic and have clips somehwere that need to be released, often with a sharp small screwdriver to push the tabs out of their holders.

Hi Scotch Lad. I have an owners manual and read through it and there is no mention of awning light, just about everything else though. Typical everything except what you want.

Understood.

However, get on the stepladder and have a close look, and if you are like me, wear your spectacles. If there are no screw fixings then it is a clip fitting. Look through the lens and see if you can see any obvious clips inside. It may also be a type where you need to slide it upwards. I agree you do not wish to break anything but they can often be tighter than a duck's b... Oops I am not allowed to say that.

Mine I discovered had 2 small slots at the bottom and I pushed a small screwdriver inside which released the clips.

The other thing if all else fails is try to see the name on the lens and contact them direct. However, Bailey should be able to answer your query, or a Bailey dealership.
