I don't yet know the exact measurements of my new caravan. There is an awning on Ebay that I think may fit it that is an absolute bargain price. However, if it were too small, would I still be able to put it up, just short of the full length of the caravan?

I don't think it'd be too long, but there wouldn't be any way around that would there?

I am most probably going to buy a porch awning as I can transfer this to another caravan in due course.

My friends bought one off ebay and it is the flimsiest rubbish going. If the raincloud passes within forty miles it leaks but is sadly exactly as it was described.

My eurovent on the other hand is amazing, brand new and best of all it came free with the caravan.

Is it new new or second hand new, if it is the latter I would ask on here if anyone else has the same van and might know the correct awning size. If you get a bargain on Ebay and its what you want Awnings can be shortened or extended to fit, I am certain that there was a place in Burton upon Trent that had a specialist in this field and advertised in the back of most Caravan mags they collect and deliver to at a favourable rate as well if it is miles away from you. We had mouse damage repaired by them and you can't see where it was done.

We bought a 2nd Van to leave in storage in Spain, but it came without an Awning so we trawled through everywhere looking for a little second hand awning to fit and ended up with a used once only (I think it had been put up to see if it was alright then put away again never too be used) NR Pullman for peanuts on Ebay.

Thanks for the info guys. Good for future reference. It ended up going for a little more than bargain price. Just need to wait and see if anything else crops up. It's a Swift Silhoutte I'm buying - anyone know the awning size? Body length is about 14ft but can measure up from Wednesday when I bring it home :)
