Bailey high level stop lights

Have any of you Bailey owners suffered with water ingress in your high level stop lights?

I have "bailed them out" twice in the last month on my 2007 Pageant Bordeaux.

To be fair Bailey sent me some new gaskets to fit under the stop light housings but these seem to have little effect.

Was thinking of applying clear silicone mastic around the edges of the unit to see if that would work, thats just the lights not on to the ABS rear panel.

Would be interested if other Bailey owners have the same problem.

Clive, I have been called out to remedy two similar problems with high level lights.

I also found that the seal was not necessarily the problem, but where the wiring enters the light and the fixing screws.

Clear silicone on all those parts, and around the edge joint seems to have worked.

Also worth checking the seal where the wiring enters the van and ensuring it is watertight.

I've just purchased a 2006 Bordeaux and have found that the high level lights have water in them. Although I haven't taken them off..the dealer is going to repair them.. on close inspection it appears the lens have cracked slightly where the screws go through as if someone has overtightened them.

Have resorted to drilling a small hole in the the bottom of each light (3mm diameter)to let the water run out. Will check it every so often to make sure the hole is clear.

Dealer has fixed new lenses and I'll monitor over coming months.
