We purchased a 2009 Bailey Pageant Sancerre last October from a dealer and brought it home, cleaned and polished it,loaded up with some of our posessions then took it to our storage site.
Opened all the cupboards, fridge door, bathroom door, wardrobe doors and have been visiting it every couple of weeks since to make sure everythings ok.
Yesterday however,I decided to check all the fixings, screws etc(must have been bored lol) and found that the bathroom door will not shut properly.
It will, if I push the other side slightly towards the bed so that the door fits inside the striker plate.
Should I not have left the door open and will this be covered by the warranty when it goes in for its service in June?
We have not even used the caravan yet.

Thank you Eddie.
Sounds like I may have to wait for some warmer weather then.
Could be a long time yet.....ha ha.
Im bringing it home the first weekend in April for a really good clean before our hols start,so hopefully it will "unwarp" itself then.

we leave ours closed with a couple of plastic spacers in the gap, the bathroom door in particular seems to swell/shrink may be the extra ventilation

Hi Adrian,
I have the same problem in my Swift, I find that it is the change in temperature that creates this problem. Try and make sure the van is parked level when in storage with the door in the closed position, normally once on site and the heating is on the door returns to normal position and opens and closes fine.

Hi Adrian

We have a sterling, the same problem with the door, in the damp / cold it swells and is hard to close, however when we go away after the heating has been on for a day or so it shrinks and is fine.

As long as the door is not twisted or warped normal expansion and retraction can only be expected in a natural product.

However if after bringing the van upto standard temp for a day or two. if the door still sticks it may need adjusting, get your dealer to have a look when its next in.

Cheers
John
