As a newcomer to caravanning, I have obtained quite a few camping site lists. These include the Caravan Club, Practical Caravan and Alan Rogers for the UK. Out of interest, I looked at my own county Bedfordshire, and have come to the conclusion that it has the least number of camping sites, when compared to all other counties in England. Unless you know better ?

Best regards,

George

Hi George

here are at least nine sites that I know of in Bedfordshire which are listed on the C&CC Siteseeker Website

If you take in neighbouring Northants as well as Cambridge you are well served with sites within an hours drive.

To put it another way, what Bedfordshire lacks in quantity is made up for in quality.

Hello Parksy,

Thanks for the reply, it is our intention to visit as many local sites as we can. I was not making any great point on the thread, but it did strike me that there was not many, and most of the ones I found were CLs. The CC have a CL just over the hill in Ravensden where I live and also one in Blunham a few miles away. I also think there is one in Kimbolton and Cambridge is definitey on the horizon for us.

The only problem is waiting for the van, Challenger 570, we ordered on December 3rd and will not get until Mid May !! We have enjoyed shopping & looking for all the equipment required to use the van, but now just want to get on with it.

I have really enjoyed my involvement on the Forum and all the information and help, freely offered by its members.

Best regards,

George

Yep George,

I can vouch for Northamptonshire not having many. Maybe we should meet up later in the year, seen as we are neighbours. Well next county anyway.

Hello Pat,

We would be delighted to meet you, I remember that you were very quick to welcome me, when I introduced myself to the Forum.

Once we are settled with the new van, I will contact you throught the Forum and we could meet at a site convenient for us both

Best regards,

George
