I thought you might like to share my experiences over the last 12 years or so with Swift built caravans. 2005 my first van had a catalogue of faults,38 in fact, ranging from body work to fittings. Eventually van returned to factory to be repaired etc. Next van same model, was returned for major body work for water ingress to the front of van. The next year on service I was told the nearside, especially around the window was now 60% water ingress. I decided to get van 3. The NEW build that does not let water in. Unfortunately the rest of the van is not anywhere near the same standard. A new roof, a new door, new panels replaced inside due to delamination. New drawer, no runner. Computer model replaced and updated 5 times, Alarm still does not work correctly. Other minor issues of doors and oven fittings needing to be fitted or refitted. QUALITY is a word not understood by Swift. Most things now corrected after nearly 6 months back at supplier. You may well ask WHY? go back, well Bessacarr vans are my favourite and the suppliers COUPLANDS of Louth are the best company out, so I like to support them. Finally, I am not alone with this sage. My friend also purchased new vans at the same time as me and not necessarily from same supplier. He too had major issues which also resulted in return to factory repairs.
These vans are supposed to be top of the range. Their prices certainly are, their quality certainly is not.
