Within the last 12 years of caravanning we have just returned from our first adult only site (Cloverfields near Buxton) which we both feel is the best site we have ever stayed on. Hard standing pitch was perfectly level and water, elec and dustbin on each pitch. Showers, toilets and recycling first class. Site very secure and owners could not have been more friendlier or helpful.
If you want peace and quiet on a tranquil site then personally this is it. Yes it may not be the cheepest but I am a great believer in you get what you pay for.
I really could have stayed another couple of weeks and today back to work and reality

We agree, we were there last week as well everyone we spoke to agreed about the facilities. Never seen bowls of sweets and cotton buds in a gents before.Plus of course the area is superb and we found it easy to get to.
The only failing is having to leave we even miss the Chickens!

Its the little lambs that we miss because they were so cute. We were on pitch 9 with the rough collie that was actually scared of the chickens and would not come out of the awning untill the coast was clear.

For us, the 'Best Site' means two different things.
1 - Best Site for location
2 - Best Site for facilities/cleanliness/organisation

1 - It's hard to beat the C&CC site at Keswick - especially if you've a motorhome and you can pitch in front of the lake.
2 - We really rate the Morris Leisure Group sites at Betws-y-Coed (Riverside) and Shrewsbury (Oxon Park). Spotless, beautifully maintained 5 Star sites where you could eat your tea off the bathroom floor.

Just my three penneth....
