Got to re-seal my awning rail to stop damp above awning light :(

Normally use white sikaflex 512, BUT this van has Black mastic.
Is there sikaflex 221 which is black the same thing, just a differerant number due to the colour differance?
Or is there another make I can use?

Cheers Sir Sprocket,

All three have different propeties :(
Including;
Density
Shrinkage
Elongation at break
Shore hardness
Elongation at break
glass transition
Chemical Base

Now what difference that lot makes, I haven't got a clue :blush:

Did try to ring there tech department this afternoon but no answer!! Will try again tomorrow.

Classic will give more time before setting than Hi Tac, which sets very quickly,
Classic will give time for minor adjustments.

There's an alternative Polyurethane sealant to Sikaflex called Tigerseal and it comes in black or white. Usually available from motor trade suppliers of paint and body panels it's used to affix spoilers and trims and the like. I used it to re-seal my van's windows which have a black frame. Before that I used the white in the shower cubicle to repair the tray it's that strong. About £13 a tube.

Edit: huh, £8 on Amazon I know where I'll go next time..
