Despite washing my new van (2009 Bailey Ranger GT60 620/6), there are still black stains on the side of the caravan thanks to the previous owner not washing all the crud off the roof.

Since i can't shift them with sponge and car shampoo, what's the best way to get them off?...Having spent alot of money, they really annoy me!

I have exactly the same caravan as yours 2010 when I had the van I washed it then put on a seal now when I wash I some times get black streaks in the following area's.
1. awning rail
2. around fridge vents
3. around battery box
4. around chemical toilet door

I purchased fenwicks black streak remover they came off with one wipe.
Washed van and since not had any for a while now

Hope this helps

The streaks on mine all run down above the window at the front of the van (other side from door)..As it wasn't waxed or sealed from new, i can't remove the worst staining with ordinary car shampoo and alot of rubbing!

Once i get them off, i'll pop a coat of car wax on there - it'll make it loads easier to clean in future!

A drop of undiluted Fenwicks caravan shampoo applied with a cloth onto the streaks will remove them after the caravan has been washed down

I had a old porch awning draught excluder the grey plastic that you insert into the lower awning rail, cut a lenght of 1 meter long, by 15cm , threaded this through top awning rail to cover the bend and positioned where the water drips of the roof , where the roof external joint is, Since fitting the above have not had any more black streaks appearing down the side of my caravan. As my van is positioned on a slight side slope , I only had to fit the one on the nearside. This is only fitted when the van is parked.
