Black streaks

Washed the caravan today after washing I noticed the black streaks are still there but faint.
Tried using the cleaner at the stated increased strength.
But the streaks are still there.
What can I do to get rid of them?
Would polishing do it if so which polish.

What cleaner do you use to remove them?, Polishing brings the van to a shine but i have used autoglym super resin polish over my faint black streaks and seemed to get rid of the black streaks, However I have used waterless products which have worked just the same and have removed the black streaks from the van or try caravan and motorhome cleaner (Autoglym) this seems to remove them everytime.

I have found Silky to be good at removing them, but used gently and with a good wet cloth. Other option would be Mers polish. Both are slightly abrasive, more so say than Fenwicks used at high strength but are effective. For winter store I use Fenwicks Overwinter which is good at reducing streaks. Our van weathered so well its not been washed yet this year!

SILKY for me too, found it after remembering my Dad using it in the early 80's.
It is NOT abrasive.

If you let Silky dry out you get a very fine powdery residue. Used moist on tarnished alloy it will (eventually) polish it much like auto sol would. So it is developing a polishing action which is just like a car polish. But I admit you would need to be excessive to cause any damage to a vans paintwork.

I've looked everywhere for that Silky where did you get yours from? as we have not seen any towsure.

After many experiments over the years , including Mr Sheen and WD40, I find Fenwicks "Black Streak " remover the best.
I suspect it is Fenwicks ordinary caravan cleaner in a more concentrated form maybe.

i got mine from Towsure years ago, but if you Google Silky Cleaner you will get a number of suppliers, Amazon seems best at £6.65 a tub. If you look at the Silky Products website they have a very wide range of useful products for van, car and boats etc

Hi I would have replied on the 4th but could not remember the product name , its silky thanks to previous replies, it is in a small white tub , use with a damp cloth , I then wash off with clean water dry the area, apply normal car polish ,it is far superior to other products claiming to remove black streaks.
