We've just had 5 days at the above site and would highly recommend it; the site is lovely with excellent facilities (which are spotless); wardens very friendly and helpful; great dog walk on site and a lovely location (5 mins from the Three Counties Show Ground and at the foot of the Malvern Hills). It's next to the CC Site but as you can't book any weekends with the CC club unless you book the day they open their stupid booking system you don't stand a chance anyway. So glad we couldn't book with the CC, we'd have missed this gorgeous site with it's lovely wardens if we had.

Julie and Stuart,

Blackmore Caravan Club site has only two weekends fully booked in May and there are vacancies every weekend in June ,July, August and September.Don't know where you got your information from but i would check your facts next time before you comment.Such misinformation does a disservice to other members of the forum.

Hamer,

Yes, Yes, Yes you are absolutely correct the Caravan Club at Blackmore does have vacancies throughout the summer of 2010; what prompted our outburst is that many, many, many of the popular CC sites do get fully booked (especially at weekends) throughout the whole season almost immediately following the Caravan Club opening their online booking system around mid-December each year.

It is this general frustration of lack of availability that prompts our comments - - however this does not detract from the great time that we enjoyed at the CCC site and the friendly attitude of their wardens which contrasts with some of our personal experiences of 'grumpy' CC wardens.

OK it is presumptious to generalise however our own experiences suggest that the

Isn't it funny how others experience the same thing about grumpy wardens only the other way around. This is the reason we are no longer in the C&CC.

Well done Hamer for pointing out the true facts :O)

It proved that Julie & Stewarts post wasn't really about the wonders of the site but really about the CC booking system ;O)

Reading the comment now of "So glad we couldn't book with the CC, we'd have missed this gorgeous site with it's lovely wardens if we had." does give me a chuckle .. heh! heh! heh!

The purpose of the post was to highlight the site and the enjoyable weekend we'd had.

There is no need to point out the errors of the CC booking scheme as most people are already aware of it's flaws - let's face it, it's discussed enough on this forum.

As previously said, the initial post isn't intended to cause offence or do a dis-service to any warden (they all have a diffcult job to do, I know); it's our experience and for us to be able to book a CC site in a location that is suitable for us has been impossibe this year - not sure what else I can say as for us, these are the facts!

Most odd.

I stay at Blackmore regularly and have never been denied a pitch. If you were talking about Rowntree Park or Chatsworth then yes, I understand you. But Blackmore? NO! Loads of space, especially in April!

And it's open all year too!!

Cheers

That's great, when we're looking for a site close to the Three Counties Showground next year maybe we'll give it a go. As for the Blackmore CC&C site, fabulous stay, excellent facilities; superb dog walk and lovely wardens.

Golly, we just got back from the CC site at Blackmore today and I was going to post a new topic about how remarkably friendly the wardens are. However, catching up on all the posts I discover that here is an existing topic that I can piggyback onto.

Oh well it just goes to show that there are nice wardens all over the place.

Cheers
