Nice site - usual C.C. standards. We visited to see the illuminations but, as LMH says, you may not like Blackpool itself. Nice areas north and south though and there was an interesting indoor bric-a-brack market in the Winter Gardens. Overall glad we went and would go again if only to see more of the surrounding area.

Hi Jo-Anne,

We've used this site the last 3 years. As has been said, it's a typical CC site with excellent modern and clean facilities. Plenty of showers too.

The pitches are a little close together in parts, but all are a good size. The Club has made the most of the space available ie, not much spare ground and no views.

I would avoid the pitches 15/16/17/18 as they tend to flood if there's alot of rain and pitches 19 to 23 are near the busy road, so a little noisy.

Nowt wrong with Blackpool you go there for what it offers, lots of other places to visit.

Try Formby point Southport and Fleetwood all have something to offer, Red Squirrels for instance at Formby point.

Lisa, Blackpool not just about candy floss and rock, try walking the prom from South Shore to North shore on a bracing day, then get the tram back and tell me the bracing air hasn't cleared the cob webs out.

Yep correct Jo Anne, St Annes the better side which is the side the Blacpool sites is at.

Even better is the Southport CC site near Lytham, now that is the posh end but don't go in the clubs at Southport you may get a bloody nose from a certain Liverpool Captain.

My mistake Jasper, got mixed up with the two Golf clubs, you are correct, its Royal Birkdale near Southport CC, Blackpool CC is near Royal Lythem.

But any of those sites are of a good standard.
