bracket pads on new lunars

has anybody had any issues fixing awning pads on to new lunars ?bought a new eclipse 15/2 based on the quasar in june and found on the 1st trip out I could not fix a pad on due to the narrow gap between the awning light/rain deflector and the awning rail the gap being about 1&half inch on looking at some other lunars new & old the deflector has been lowered by a few inches therefor resolving the problem which begs the question did lunar have a dodgy production run or was it a design fault on some models.would appreciate any input on this subject.

Is the problem that it is difficult to thread the pads past the awning light or that the final position interferes with the awning light? We have a 2012 dealer-special quasar and have to lift the pads over the light when threading our porch awning, but luckily the final resting place of the centre pad is just to the side of the light.

hi woodladscamper we have a porch the outdoor revolution pro integra 250 the middle roof pole is the only 1 that needs a pad the other 2 just slide into sewn in pockets had the middle 1 had the same system it would fit any where on the rail.we try to set the porch as far to the rear as pos to avoid the front window on the van also to give us a larger patio area I am beginning to wonder if lunar fit these light/deflectors at random as long as its above the door if theres a bit of a breeze the rain blows in anyway as it drains off the deflector given it is set so high have e-mailed lunar but weather they reply or not remains to be seen pointless task contacting the supplying dealer as all they do is take the money & run not really bothered about after sales just sales thanks for your response

Lunar don't tend to deal with end users, but tell you to contact your supplier. 🙁 But in any case they are half way through their summer holiday shut down.

lunar did actually e-mail me back & admitted it was a design fault which has since been rectified but unfortunately it cannot be altered on the vans with the light/deflector close to the rail.
