Have a look at

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/roadside-recovery?gclid=CNCe_KyIkJ8CFUgA4wodXRNkIw
there is lots of info on good deals, especially with Tesco vouchers.

I have used Autoaid,

, or should say haven't used them, but paid the insurance cover! Big saving over the others, and gives very good cover, including 'van. I do like the fact I don't get lots of useless stickers and books, just a copy of my policy and a phone number. It shows how admin can swallow up membership fees! The same van shows up whatever

I am with Green Flag and cant fault them. I have used them twice with the van and they have got me home each time . I have a Pajero and a Lunar Delta van, so its a big outfit. They are well worth looking into.

I thoroughly recommend Green Flag.

When I had the Renault Espace I had cause to call them twenty five (25) times over a four year period and they were always very helpful, no question about being recovered even with dogs on board or towing.

Other rescue services limit you to a max number of tow ins in any one cover period, which in my case would have left me stranded on a lot of occasions.

The Renault has since been crushed, so I will sadly miss seeing the recovery drivers, many of whom became very good friends.

Would also go for Green Flag May Day, cheaper than AA and offer a better service for caravanners. We've been with both and used both and Green Flag were far better.

yep green flag mayday every time, was in the AA for 30years untill I read the small print regarding the recovery of trailers in the renewal forms.

I have only used the service once, while touring cornwall the car stopped during transit between sites on a sunday morning the mechanic who came out diagnosed a electrionics fault but could not repair it, he recovered us to the new site stayed with us untill pitched and put the car in a safe place in the car park. as being a sunday no garages were open to do the repairs so he left his mobile number if needed to take the car to a garage for repair.

he told us that if we could not get the car repaired before the end of our stay using the freephone number green flag would recover us all the way home to west yorkshire under the double journey cover.

in the end we got a mobile engineer to come and fix the car on site cost
