buying a ready made caravan cover

Hi

I want to get a cover for my caravan. For my previous two vans I've had tailor made Pro-Tec covers and been generally pleased, but can't really afford one at the moment.

So, have been considering an off the shelf ready made one. Trouble is these tend to come is sizes of 17ft-19ft or 19ft-21ft. My van measures pretty much exactly 19 ft, and a 17/19 cover I bought recently wouldn't come even close to going on because, I think, it didn't make any allowance for an aerial or sky light or flue etc. However I'm thinking if I go to the next size up it'll be far too big and will flap about scratching the van and damaging itself.

So, does anyone have experience of a cover whose quality they would recommend and which they found to make allowances for the aerial etc

We bought a Royal off the peg cover for out t/a Abbey 620 and although it is a loose fit when first put on the front and back panels are elasticated and it utilises tie straps along the sides which tighten the cover to minimise flapping and poor fitting.

The end result is dependent on the care taken to put the cover on and in general we are pleased with ours.

Thanks both for your comments, I am anxious about buying the next size up because I'm worried about flapping rubbing the van underneath, but it sounds as though the bigger size might be OK with elasticated bottom and straps. I'll be very interested to hear what Michael thinks to his when he gets it
