I don't have anything to sell, I'm still accumulating caravan bits and bobs :) , but do forum members ever post items for sale on here, I can think of a few caravan accessories that would be useful to me should they ever become available.

Buying and selling on this forum is not allowed as it would eat into Haymarket's profits from selling advertising space in the magazine. :eek:hmy: See Forum Ettiquette, point 6.
That's got to be one of the most ridiculous, unfair and inaccurate statements that I've seen on this forum for a while.
The classified adverts in Practical Caravan magazine are free of charge and there's no limit on the number of adverts that anyone can place in the magazine.
Many regular forum users would be up in arms if they had to trawl through loads of private adverts included in forum threads before they could add a comment.
Unauthorised advertising (spam) is illegal and annoying, Haymarket invest a lot of unseen effort into keeping this forum spam free.
I asked digital editor Lizzie Pope about a section for classified adverts a couple of weeks ago, she replied and there's no reason to doubt her word.

 I'm now sat in the corner.
It's a common response and you're not alone Sir WC, there's always the idea that behind the scenes big business is making a fortune by pulling unseen strings so you can come off the naughty step. There have been several redundancies at Practical Caravan recently, including community editor Stacie Pardoe and Kate Taylor so they can't be making all that much profit.

I have to agree with Parksy. With free classified adds there is no reason to clog up the forum with adverts.

Hi Raywood,

Can you give me a link to where the free classified adds are listed please, excuse my newbie ability in finding all that's going on in Practical Caravan

Thanks.

.

I think you'll find they are in the magazine, not on-line, so no link sorry.

Most of the electronically generated spam that our software bats away has a Chinese flavour.
Damian and myself take great delight in stomping on the occasional spammer that slips through the Haymarket electronic defences.
