Buying used for 5K

So I had much more of a budget, and I was looking at T4 auto sleepers, or early 90s Californias. My situations changed, and I need to but for about 5K Idealy I'd like to get under 5 K, and have some cash left toward insurance.

I need 4 seat belts, I want to be able to stand up inside (fixed or pop top) and fuel economynis important.
I really like the size of the T4 and I love the look of the auto sleepers, Im not a fan of really modern looking interior.
Can anyone reccomend me makes and models?

Hi, welcome.
Hard to be specific, because at that price you're looking at much older vehicles, private sales rather than dealers, so it's all about what's around at the moment.
VWs - and Autosleepers - hold their prices very well, so you may not find one of any age in your budget.
We struck lucky with our last-but-one van when we were in your position - a tatty old Transit high top a local dealer had taken in px. Got it for £3500 and it gave us 8 memorable years. So it can happen, but it might take a while.
