Callow Top Holiday Park

Has any one been to the callow top holiday park in ashbourne with a caravan in tow.

The only route seems to be through the Market Place of Ashbourne to which it is an incredibly steep incline.

Any other routes that people could suggest id be most grateful,

Havent been to Callow Top but have been further up to Rivendale, Been there twice and yes through Ashbourne and up the hill, did'nt find it a problem, just take it steady as can be narrow with cars parked on one side on occasions, but dont think you will find it a problem but yes it is quite steep, actually I was warned
about it's steepness and did worry a little, but was fine.

I had no problem with the Wyoming.

You will get up the hill through Ashbourne with no problem as long as you take it steadily. done it a few times, easy peasy. Your problem is when you get onto theCallow top site. There is a really step incline as you go into the site. Before we had a 4x4 we towed with Kia Sedona. Heavy beast but the wheels struggled to grip on that slope. Only went to Callow top once, wouldn't go again.

My son got part way up the hill towing his van then had to stop for someone turning right.
He got going again but knackered his clutch & DMF getting going again
I got a phone call at work dad can you tow the van home tomorrow whilst the car comes back on a truck.
The things we do for our kids :huh:
