Advance Notice.
Every summer, a group of International ex-pats put on a 'Tea Party' in Southern Burgundy. We try to reproduce a typical tea shop atmosphere complete with Morris dancers, properly dressed 'nippies' etc etc.
It takes place in Viry which is some 5 kms north of Charolles (Home of the Charolais Cattle).
The date is Sunday 1 July 2012. Starting at 3 o'clock until 6 o'clock and will be themed 'ROYAL DIAMOND JUBILEE'.
Viry is providing free camping for the week-end although there will be no electricity, water etc. In other words, you will need to be self-contained. Full camping site facilties - inc a Camping Car Aire - can be found at Charolles Municipal Site.(5 kms) Current price for a pitch for 2 persons + 16 amp elec + wi-fi + Superb heated pool is only 11/12 Euros!
Southern Burgundy is very much an undiscovered gem. Our Tea Party is great fun in itself, but visitors will also be impressed by the region's natural beauty and tranquility.

Maybe - but you probably wouldn't be as welcome as you will be at Viry! And you would be hard pressed outside St Pauls to get a real English Afternoon Tea - complete with musical entertainment - for a fiver!
