Camping in Montpellier area / Mediterranean coast

Hi All, we had a fantastic holiday at Camping L'Ocean near La Rochelle last year, which was recommended by Gafferbill... i am hoping for some more help.. This time,we are hoping to maybe head down to the mediterranean coast, Having had a look on various websites, it seems quite hard to find nice sites which arent too commercialised and suitable for 2 x adutls and 2 x teenage children. We dont have a massive wish list 1) Relatively small campsite if poss (maybe 100 pitches) 2) Small pool (slides etc not important) 3) quiet wih clean / nice facilities 4) reasonably sized pitches big enough to take my twin axle caravan - in fact Camping De L'Ocean but further south !!!! We are looking for anywhere along the mediterranean coast around Montpellier along as far as
Marseille... I know i have probably left it late to get booked up for August, but any assistance would be gratefully received...

Just a heads up, it can get incredibly busy down there in August compared to the rest of France and the short busy season down there sees prices rocket, again much more than the rest of France. We actually prefer the Dordogne at that time of year.

If you change your mind and want to try a bit of secret France......... (don't tell anyone )
You could explore the Charente Valley and stay at this wonderful site at Angoulême .....................I can recommend it for a great holiday.

It has large pitches, modern clean fully equipped sanitary blocks, free wifi, swimming pool, snack bar, bicycle hire,16 amp electrics,etc.
It is very near the towns ultra modern Swimming complex ......Nautilis
It is also very near a large park and lake with it's own beach and sailing complex.
There are walks and cycle trails in the park that lead on to the Charente river bank and onwards into the town.

.......and if you wanted a two venue holiday this is an equally good site near a lake just north of Poitiers at Saint-Cyr
