We should have been going away for the weekend but the unthinkable happened . The car has never let me down since i got it but today it happened. Cranked it over and phut phut pop pop chug chug, no go !!! . Hour and a half later , frozen after working in a bitter north wind i had had enough, but i did at least get it started. As i was going on the M1 i thought to myself ,its freezing , the forcast is for some v bad weather and an unreliable car was not on. I called the CL at Chesterfield and told them what had happened and that i was aware that it was very short notice and as i was canceling i would send them the site fee if they could not let the pitch. The owner refused to taake any money and said he was thinking of calling the others booked on to tell them that the weather forcast was v bad and not to go if they felt unsure of things. That is what i call a good CL site and owners who look after their clients.

When we were due for a short break at The Quiet Site in Ullswater a year or so ago, the site owner/manager phoned us to say that flooding had made the site very wet indeed, and the approach alongside Ullswater was dangerous, so they were advising everyone not to come. Another site which puts customers before profit, at least sometimes!

Graham how nice to know there are still good people around.I hope your car is running well for when you venture out again. This snow stuff will have affected lots of folks plans and fingers crossed that they get treated with understanding as you have. Well done that man/woman!!!!!
