HI ALL I'M BACK

I think I have got it sorted now and it only cost £299 for a new note book, errmmm well the new one has vista and fire fox on it and no internet explorer so I suppose it could have been a I.E filter problem or I.E 8 that is what is on the other comps I use, thanks to all those who tried to help me.

ps firefox is brilliant but I am not too keen on vista maybe it will grow on me.

So it seems it wasn't this site (although it does have many many quirks). Strange how you were having the same problem on other computers though ?

yes it is strange that, all the other comps I have tried had IE8 installed with automatic updates turned on perhaps it was a filter or something that was turned on with one of the updates the strangest thing about it was it did not affect any of the other forums or sites that I go on which is why I was convinced the problem was at the site end.

I find it rather strange you received IE8 by auto updates. IE8 is currently in Beta Stage 1 and is NOT sent out automatically by Microsoft, you have to download it and try it yourself. Are you sure it was IE8 you had and not IE7?

There's no problems with IE7, not with this site anyway.

Also, IE7 does come with Vista.

Firefox is OK but some web sites won't display correctly in Firefox, especially certain Java enabled sites.

I had a problem posting when I used IE8 beta so I am now on Firefox with no problems.
