caravan information, please help

Iam very keen to buy a caravan, however Iam having terrible trouble working out the size I require because it will have to be towed by my 2cv.

I have a list of 2 berth ones up for sale but seem to be hitting a brick wall with the size/weight i can legally tow.

Any help or advise would be most welcome.

Lee, as a former 2CV owner - we've had two, but we now wear shoes and eat meat, so have now been banned from owning one of these idiosyncratic cars. If your enquiry is truly serious, you'll need to find a van with a MTPLM of about 6ozs, as the car itself has a kerbweight of about 9ozs. You'll also need some thicker elastic for the rear suspension. I doubt that 626cc and 29BHP is entirely suitable for caravanning, unless you wish to stay in 1st gear all day (which won't make a lot of difference to the top speed or accelaration of 0-60 in 3 weeks). Stick to a tent!

You might be able to progress to a trailer tent, but you might need to get out and push going uphill.
