Ive been thinking about buying and fitting a mover myself but have ben told that if I do this will invalidate my caravan warrany on the grounds that its an add on and changes the spec. I tow a Challenger 540 2007 model, can any fellow caravanners shed any light on this please.

I have never heard of that. We do have a Mover, but it was fitted by our dealer. However my husband has fitted various extras including additional sockets and shock absorbers, and our dealer has not commented on this.
If anything he did caused a problem with something in the van then that could be different, but that is all I can think of.
Fitting a Mover does not involve drilling the axle, the only possibly intrusive bit is the electrics, and even that is not that complex.

It will add weight to the van, that has to come from your payload, but you could probably get an uprated chassis plate to increase the MTPLM.

I have put a powetouch motor mover on my caravan and I checked with Bailey at Bristol before doing the work my self. Thay had no problems with diy work as long as the work does not cause a direct failure to a part which is under warranty.

At the end of the day. It does seem to me if there is some why of getting out of paying, doing warranty work, making a claiming on insurance, company,s are only interested in pofit and loss.

Yes, both have got it right. So long as the unit is purely an add-on feature requiring no changes or modifications to the product itself, e.g. no holes drilled, etc., the warranty is not affected.
depending where you site the electrics you may have to drill holes through the floor for the cables to run to run from mover to control box ,unless you can find a nearby air vent
It struck me a mover clamps to the chassis without any modification to same, it's connected direct to the battery...a battery that to was non-standard and purchased as an extra!!
Apart then from perhaps needing a small wiring hole through the floor, how on earth could it effect the caravan manufactures warranty??

where did i say it would affect the guarantee , the only person to ask about the guarantee is the manufacturer ,
