caravan only insurance

Off to France soon, have RAC Cover for car which includes Europe which includes towing the caravan if the car breaks down but if the caravan breaks down the caravan is not covered. We have personal annual insurance with the post office. Can anyone advise us of the best way to insure the caravan. Or would you not bother? Our caravan is only 2 years old and we have two new tyres with tyron bands on them, it has recently been serviced at Easter.
 
We have just gone through the same problem and the only solution is to take out a recovery plan for car and caravan that includes caravan only breakdown. After some research we ended up using Red pennant from the CC, but there are cheaper alternatives on the web. Decided on the CC plan due to their very good record in dealing with problems. Hi Pete, If you have caravan insurance check to see if you also have 90 european cover, make sure you notify the them with the dates of your holiday you should then be covered, if your not sure give them a call and ask.
