Caravan Storage Fire

There was a fire at a caravan storage site in Cwmbran, South Wales overnight with 18 caravans destroyed and 13 vans damaged. I hope everyone had insurance and that the insurance companies settle quickly, else some poor persons may miss their holiday this year. Gas canisters were heard exploding, so there will be the argument of whether to store vans with or without the gas cylinders on board.

Seems to be happening a bit more recently, fires that is.
Here on the Island there was one (albeit a static) but as the pictures show, quite graphically, it does not take long to produce an inferno, so the moral is,,,,,,,,,,GET OUT and Stay OUT.

After a devastating fire a couple of years ago, involving a gas bottle , near to us, I have taken to storing my spare gas bottles in the garden shed, this is the furthest point from the house, and has no electrics in it. Better safe than sorry.
