Have booked a superpitch with drains and mains water, I have bought a solution for mains water with the ballcock method in my water container, however how does the waste work on such pitches in general?, is there a grid and you have to have a long waste pipe or is there a gutter system that runs along the side of the caravan so no big pipes needed?.

I dont want to have to take my wastemaster but dont want to come unstuck either !

Many Thanks

It depends on the pitch. We have found pitches with a single point at the rear (CC sites) or some sites have them along the right hand side. Where our van (side waste points) is currently on a CC site (perhaps CC think we all have Coachmans with rear exit pipes) we need over 3 m of pipe. My recommendation would be to get about 4 m of pipe and some connectors so you can mix and match for different sites.

On the last two sites (CC Seacroft and Sandy Balls) we have also needed to use our aquaroll extension pipe too as the water inlet on our van is near the front.

Hi Christopher

We bought white domestic piping from B&Q,cut it into different lengths and carry joiners so we can make it up to whatever length we need to reach the drain, being rigid it drains better than the flexible tubing, and it fits most outlets on caravans.

We have two diameters of waste pipe - one is a very nice fit inside the other, so we've got a 3m pipe which can extend to 6m.

Flow rate is slightly reduced but has never been a problem - even when taking showers.
