Paul, what symptoms do you have when trying to start the carver?

Do you hear a clunk when you switch it on?

Do you hear a rapid clicking?

How quickly does the red light come on? if at all?

There should be an isolating valve somewhere along the gas-pipe, check that it's in the "open" position.

I too am having problems getting my heater to work.

I have just bought the caravan, second hand and havent a clue whats whats, could be I am just not working it right.

I turn switch to on, green light after about 1 min. red light on but then nothing, left it for about 15mins and still cold. not sure if it works by gas or how I would check that. I have managed to work everthing else out apart from this. can you help or point me in the right way

The cover greg refers to is only on the Truma Ultrastore heater, NOT the carver Cascade.

paul,it must be the gas isolater valve, check this first!then make sure gas is on and running secondly, check for breaks/clamping off, which may have been done by previous owners,if all fail check the carver website or check with service centre
