Hi

What about Moreton in the Marsh cc site in the Cotswolds - we stopped there a few years ago, nice site. Walking distance of Moreton in the Marsh, nice places to eat there, can't remember the one we used

Stroud Hill Park Caravan Club at Huntingdon has an award winning restaurant on site in a magnificent restaurant building. It is perfect for that special celebration with some delicious dishes and wines on offer.

My wife and I have eaten there several times and on every occasion have sung its praises especially with all the food being sourced locally.

just looked it up "scorpio" and it sounds great, just one question, in the CC book it says fully serviced pitches, does that mean "what we call up north" super hook ups, ie your own water tap and waste water drain on your pitch ?

I have only ever had a fully serviced pitch there with EHU, water and waste point. I am not sure whether there are any without but there are serious brownie points to be gained form dining there! Mrs Scorpio loves the place.

Hi Mark,

A man after my own heart, never forget a Birthday.

Not a C.C. Site but if you fancy a wee tour to central Scotland Beecraigs Country Park near Linlithgow is a nice site and a couple of miles away the Champany Restaurant

http://www.champany.com/
Wherever you go trust Mrs enjoys.

Regards.

Balbirnie Park CC site at Markinch in Fife is based in Balbirnie Park, this also houses a top class ( v expensive!) resturant.

Nice site and nice part of the world.

Alternatively Edinburgh CC woould give you access to loads of resturants in town as well as not being too far from the Champnay at Linlithgow suggested by a previous poster.

I was going to repeat Wanderers advice of BeeCraigs, its a lovely site, with fantastic facilities, but we think the on site restuarant is very good, and easy to walk back from.

Beecraigs resturant is good - we use it a lot as we live only a fre miles away - the view is something else - don't know if I would put it into the 'special' category though.

Word of warning re Stroud Hill Park - ensure you book the table when booking your pitch. We were caught out last time even though we'd discussed when booking over the telephone our intention to go in for a meal, we hadn't booked the table. When we arrived, toddled over to the restaurant to book for the next night - no go. However we were invited over to a Tapas Afternoon at
