I recently bought a Calorlight 6kg propane bottle but have been using butane up until now. I have a Ace Jubilee 2006 with a wall mounted regulator. Can I use this regulator with the propane gas bottle if I change the connecting hose?

no you should not. Propane should have a 37 mbar regulator and butane should have a 28 mbar regulator. Use of the wrong regulator can lead to incorrect flame height, and hence the production of carbon monoxide.

Rick, as your van has the truma bulkhead regulator you can safely change the pigtail to a propane pigtail and use Propane.

The bulkhead regulators are set to 30mb as is the standard since 2004.

yeah, you're right. I didn't take note of the age of the van, sorry. 30mbar is safe with both gases (never use an older red regulator with butane gas though), although you should consider whether you have the correct pigtails. It is recommended within the gas industry that these are inspected for degradation regularly, and consideration should be given to renewing them after 5 years. All approved high pressure LPG pipes should be dated and labelled as being high pressure.
