The internal door between the living area and the toilet/shower area front roller has come off the track making the door virtually unusable.

I have tried to lift it back into positon but with no success, also tried to take roller off but looks like you will have to strip half the caravn down to do anything with it.

Has anybody had a similar experience, if so how did you fix it?

Thanks, John

Exactly the same problem has developed on ours, thought I'd fixed it but retruned next time we towed. It goes in for service on Tuesday when I will discuss this with them, to be done under warranty. If I learn anything from them I will let you know how they intend to fix it.

If you are talking about the concertina type blind we have one on our Corona 636 which did this, to get it back in we hold the stiff section at an angle to reinsert the top.

I am thinking of putting a small screw into the wall at the end of the track to stop it reocurring.

Thanks Garry but in the 2005 Rallyes it is a solid door suspended on 2 rollers and supposedly held in place by a guide track. Ours jumps off the track when travelling.

We had the same problem with our Elddis solid door.

Every time you used it the bottom spring loaded plunger jumped out and jamed.

I fixed it myself by repositioning the bottom guide on the floor. It was about an inch out.

It was easy to do and is now perfect, no more jumping out at all.

Hope this helps

Hi everyone.

My previous van (a 2004 Compass) with a solid sliding door had the same fault. During its 3 year service the engineer said that it was a common fault with the upper rollers breaking. The fault would have been rectified under warranty but I had already done a p/x with the Compass so there was no time for me to have it reified but I trust that it was fixed before it was sold on.

Hi Brum,

B31, neighbour. We rally with the British Leyland ccc Longbridge section. There are 15 companys that used to make up BL most of them now put to sleep but their ccc sections still thrive, so that we can go out with Land rover, Jaguar, Wolsely, MG, Standard Triumph etc.

Hello John and all who own one of these dispicable vans. Yes we did certainly have the same problem with our 05 Omega. Same set up as you have said and in 3 Yrs of owner ship the dealer and manufacterur, if you can call them that couldnt put it right. We did hear a bit of info from another dealer that on some 05 vans from this maker, had suspect floors, as in they could not suport the van body. Caused the floor to flex and broke the seals around the floor on all sides. Armed with this and the fact that the doors on our van, would not stay on the tracks, we chopped it in for a better built van. Hope this has'nt upset anybody, but I feel you ought to know the possibilities of your van being very similar. Bazz.
