Hi everyone,

What do people think of Cornwall We love it down there.

Have been going to same site Newperran just outside Perranporth for 12 years now & think its brill. Loads of space lovely clean site, pool play areas pub with entertainment friendly owners & regulars we see every year. Close to lovely beaches all around but favourite is Crantock. Easy reach of whole of Cornwall, been going down for 41 years since i was 2 & now my kids love it as well. Cant wait for July 21st when off for 2 weeks

Can't beat Cornwall

Would love to here other peoples comments & views of Cornwall & favourite sites etc.

Cornwall is a favourite place of ours as well in particular St Ives, but our favourite site is probably the CC site at Merrose Farm. Owning a caravan really lets you appreciate what we have in the British Isles other favourite areas of ours are the Lakes, Northumberland and the west coast of Scotland.

Only a couple of weeks ago we stayed in Perran Sands (haven) site in Perranporth, just at the top of the hill as you drive in.

we had a great week there, everything was clean, was only let down one morning by a couple of kids (dont know which ones) who thought it would be good to finger paint the shower blocks with their own No2's. was cleaned up very quickly though.

My wife and i adore cornwall too, st ives, newquay, all quality places.

We like Cornwall as well.

We usually visit about once every 5-10 years, and normally out of season. Would not want to go every year, as there are lots of other lovely places to visit!

We have lived in Devon our whole lives so have easy access to Cornwall.

I dont mean to dampen your spirits but we no longer enjoy Cornwall like we used to. We used to go every year (week breaks/short weekend breaks etc), but we said that we wouldnt go again and have decided to explore the parts of the uk we havent been to yet.

We found last time we went to Cornwall it was very busy (even in low season), the parking was an absolute rip off everywhere.

Dont get me wrong, Cornwall is beautiful, lovely local people (like us Devonshire bumkins !) but it seems to have lost its sparkle for us.

Im glad everyone else still enjoys its appeal though.

Hi David

We've just come back from a two and a half week stay in Cornwall and loved it. I used to go with my parents as a child, to St Ives fro many years than to Rock and Polzeath as a teen. Now as a grown up and a bit on the grey side we decided to go back. Our firsr few days wwas at Bude (hubby had some work to do there) then on down to Perran sands to the CC site (Treamble)- we felt rather young there!!! It was perhaps a little too regimented, but a nice site all the same. For our final week we stayed at the CC site at Godrevy which was just the job as we have dogs. Just a few steps from the site you are in the sand dunes with a short walk to the beach which allows dogs. I find Cornwalls policy about dogs on beaches absolutely fair and its very clear where you can and cannot take dogs. We loved the wildness of the far west of Cornwall and saw lots of unusual wild flowers, birds and butterflies (clouded yellows seem to be in abundance this year). Will definately go again.

Cornwall is great. BUT, to expensive!

Pay and pay and pay to park where ever you go!

We love the place, but value for money and Cornwall have become strangers.

we cannot believe the price to park in Cornwall, total rip off. We have been going to the West Coast of Scotland for the past 4 years in preference to Cornwall, its quieter, less commercialised and we never have to pay to park - its all free up in the highlands where we go.

We are off to Polmanter Touring Park, just outside St.Ives in 3 weeks time cannot wait.

Auntie lives over looking Carbis Bay, beautiful views.

Haven't stayed in Cornwall for any length of time for about 16 years, only a quick visit.

So it will be nice to see it again.
