Hi,
I'm sure this must have been much debated on here over the years, but just to bring it up to date!
Please has anyne any suggestions as to the best winter cover for a Wyoming Series 6? The caravan is just over a year old, and I am definitely not going through another mammoth cleaning session like the one I've just finished.
I thought I'd chosen a spot away from any trees, but the caravan didn't seem to know, neither did the birds for that matter!
Looking forward to the suggestions, and thanks in advance.

Hi Steffonas, take a look at the more recent post on here about the really bad stains on Fibes van.
Think you will change your mind!! We all know what a pain and time consuming it is to clean our vans but think I would prefer to clean the day to day grimes
There are also issue's as well about scratching the windows which others will no doubt follow up and give you more info.

Just a thought, you may consider another option. of which I am about to experiance.
I am collecting my newer van next weekend and apparantly it has been treated with a product called Caravan Guard.
The previous owner paid over £450.00 for this product which treated both the internal and external area's of the van.
Beleive the exterior is about £300.00 on its own. I can only imagine it is something like the scotchguard product they use on carpets. It has a 5 year gurantee and is transferable.
this is by no means an endorsment of the product and I have no connection with it.
There may be a cheaper similar product that will do the job and other members may be able to help. Just a thought.
If you can wait I will update next week as when we looked at the van in storage it was grubby, so if it works I should have a sparkling van!!!!!!!

I had the car done in a similar "diamond shine" five years ago. A complete waste of money.
The car and the Wyoming get a good wash after each tour and twice a year a real good polish with Autoglym Super Resin. Also after each wash I still use Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler. The black streaks wash off easily.
As for covers I am dead against them. IMO they do more harm than good and take a lot of effort to apply and remove, damaging aerials, chimneys etc

Hi guys,
Well that seems about as unanimous as unanimous can get!!

I'd heard a lot about covers rubbing and have experienced difficulty helping my son in law put his cover over the aerial on his van (our old one). It was only on for a couple of months, but it was cleaner than ours when he took it off, although a bit 'musty' inside.

Thanks again then, and now it looks like I'll have to fork out for a new stepladder so that the women in the family won't have to strech so much when the Wyoming gets its next polishing!☺
