Had a letter from hospital regarding a 24 hr monitor on chest. It was I understand also to GP. Phoned surgery and reception said I cannot see the GP face to face, I was told by her for me to ring the hospital and let them tell me. Not very happy about that as most secretaries would not know. I then said cannot the doctor look at the letter and if there is anything I should know, she replied he has not got the letter so send yours . This is getting ridiculous, It use to be "There's a war on" now its the cov. Even my local fishing tackle are saying its the cov when I wanted the to respool my reel.

Our surgery fit 24 hour 3 sensor monitors and the results are then analysed and sent to the hospital who decide any subsequent actions.

Why can the hospital nurses deal with me, but my doctor is in danger/risk? Went for our flu jabs at surgery other day, pharmacist did 'em in dispensary, other 'white smocks' about working making up prescriptions etc. But Drs. In danger and can't see 'em.! ---- Weird! ---- Suggest they give the docs. same as what they must have given their staff to give them immunity!

My wife recently found a suspicious lump - when she phoned the surgery, they arranged a phone consultation - as a result the GP saw her at the surgery and then processed a 14-day urgent request to the local hospital.

The NHS is assessing and prioritising according to risk - the circumstances of Covid are very different but they use those principles all the time.

Try taking waste to the tip in Lincoln. They are seriously out to make you feel like criminal. Been today vile attitude. Now I know why they fly tip. Sorry nowhere near as serious as health but I was made to feel v small in the name of covid-seems to be the go to Excuse for a lack of care, or service.

Whilst there should be consistency across the NHS, there are local differences that will mean some variation of how you access services. And on top of that as with every profession there will be good, bad and ugly surgeries. Couple that with the extraordinary circumstances presented by C19, there will be occasions when the available options do not suit everyone.

Some services will need to be rationed because each surgery needs to implement protection protocols, not only to protect the staff but patients and other visitors, Smaller surgeries will struggle more to provide the necessary separation and cleansing that C19 requires.

Look on your surgeries website to see if there are any other access options. Many surgeries are offering telephone consultations, some even use video calls. There is also a system which some surgeries are using called eConsult.

In these times we know that many services have been adversely affected, some are just reduced, and some have been significantly altered or withdrawn, and that means the we all need to be prepared to exercise some flexibility in our expectations.

However If you are not satisfied then you should explore your surgeries complaints procedure, You should find details on their complaints policy on their web site, or look at your local Clinical Commissioning Group's website for information on how to complain.

No issue seeing a nurse, but seeing a doctor is nigh on impossible. I managed to get a doctor's appointment about 2 weeks ago, then referred to a specialist who saw me within days and as a result have to have an op next week. First class treatment!

My wife is diabetic and is getting a face to face check up for this and surgery does open for patients who cannot be treated any other way. These are limited and there is a waiting list though.

Had to go for the Covid19 test this morning and it is very unpleasant. Had me choking or gagging and eyes watering.
