Hi Carol & Pete

The first port of call must be the dealer. Give them a ring and they'll probably want to inspect it. They will then make a claim to the manufacturer under the terms of the warranty if the work requires doing. This can be a lengthy process in my experience with 12 weeks waiting for parts in some instances. After inspection if the work is not urgent you can usually book it in at your leisure.

If the van needs to go in and there are holidays booked most large dealers will loan you a van at no cost and we ended up with a higher spec loan van than our own for three months.

I know this is a pain but you still get the holiday.

Thanks Dave

Hi carol&pete

I had the same problem like many others of similer caravans, are you the original owners of the van because the warentee is not transferable also if you are they ask for copies of service book fully stamped up.

Bailey told me to contact my dealer which i did and they instructed me to ask the dealer to file a warrentee claim as it turned out Bailey sent me the panal foc and i had to pay the labour costs hope this helps regards mark

Hi

Our 2005 Bailey Pageant had a hairline crack in the top section of the rear panel. I ignored it at first & then on one holiday in heavy rain we had water running down the inside walls of the van. It turned out that more cracks had developed on the flat roof section of the rear panel where it joins the main roof.

Our dealer was great, the warranty repairs were authorised within a couple of weeks and the van was booked in for 3 months later for a complete replacement rear panel, no cost for us to pay at all. They put mastic over the cracks as a temporary repair so we could still use it while we waited for the fitting date. The van was in for a week. Our dealer advised us that replacement was the only option, repairs were not possible. I would insist on replacement panels.

Good luck

Richard

Hi

Our Bailey, also 2006 has just been serviced and a crack has been picked up, which has led to some water ingress. The dealer contacted us to inform us about the crack, has done a temporary job to stop the crack getting worse, faxed Bailey a warranty claim, within less than a week Bailey contacted the dealer, who in turn contacted us. Our van goes back to Bailey in February to get the work done. We have been informed the van will be away for 6 - 8 weeks.

The service from the dealer - Salop Leisure at Albrighton Wolverhampton has been excellent. We previously lived in Yorkshire and bought the van from Barrons (Discover) York. Discover Cannock closed so we had to find another dealer to service our van. Bailey customer services were also helpful when I contacted them after reading on PC forum about how Discover Cannock had closed and we had our van booked in for servicing.

Good luck

Annette

Our 2.5 year old Ace Award showed some hairline cracks on the front panel a couple of months back.I quickly noticed that despite this only being a couple of hairline cracks, water already found it,s WAY IN.The van comes with a 3 year warranty which covers ingress and delamination(I think that's what it's called?) Dealer took photos, carried out temp repair to stop any further damp getting in as small trace shown up on meter in front nearside corner.

Swift have agreed to replace whole front panel as a waranty repair, plus dealer assures if damage has caused damp damage to interior they will claim for this too. Van goes in next month between holidays.I have to say I have been impressed with the way I have been looked after by the dealer and Swift. Time will tell how they actualy deal with the actual repair.
