hello, decided to try some cs sites this year as the credit crunch has hit a bit....and by just having a quick look they seem to be quite a bit cheaper, and as we do like quiet, not singing all dancing, im hoping we can find some good ones.....so over to the knowelegable members, do any of you have suggestions for 5 van sites around a 2/3 hour or so drive from mid yorkshire. (wakefield)..i have had a look at 5van web page but just wondered if there are any more gems out there....thankyou

Hi Ed

If you decide to visit Shropshire I can recommend one of our favourite certified sites which is The Larches near to Ludlow.

This quiet 5 van site is on a small farm in a quiet rural location about 10 minutes drive from Ludlow town centre.

It has a clean unisex shower / toilet, ehu, water and a chemical disposal point.

The site is ideal for exploring Shropshire and the Welsh borders, there are country walks, cycling and magnificent views from nearby Clee Hill.

All this for

Upper Hawthwaite CL site, Broughton in furness, probably one of the best views from any site in the whole uk, looking up the duddon valley at great stickle, stickle pike, caw, and coniston old man, 10 pounds a night summer 11 pounds winter, wc, shower, EHU. very friendly owners martin and pauline cooper 01229 716270. 2.5 hrs away from you. 5 mins from me, i will probably regret this coz it'll be fully booked next time i want to go. hope this helps.

Use the CCC sitefinder and then put post code into google earth. If you take to CSs think about joining the CC as they have 2500 CLs. There some great 5 van sites and you will meet friendly people.
